Our latest Ofsted Report
Following our recent Ofsted inspection in November, we are delighted to announce that St Mary Redcliffe Primary has been graded as GOOD across all areas of the framework. The school has been on a journey of improvement since 2016 and, since joining DBAT and the formation of our Academy Council in 2017, the school has made huge strides to improve the quality of education for our children.
The feedback from the inspection highlighted those areas of development from the previous report have been addressed and are now areas of strength in the school. As you are aware, reading has been a key focus for the school and we are pleased that the inspectors commented on the strong reading culture at SMR. Furthermore, the report states that children feel safe and enjoy coming to school.
As a leadership team we felt that the inspection was a fair and positive process and reflects us well as a school. Since our last inspection, there has been a huge amount of work around our curriculum intent, implementation and impact. To build on this further, we are now reviewing our curriculum to ensure that all leaders across the school have a secure understanding of the foundations to learning in the early years.
